Job Title: Web Graphic Artist - Mountain View
Department Overview (”The area”): The Google Product Management team is responsible for managing and marketing the company’s exceptional product portfolio to end users, partners and customers on a worldwide basis. Job Description (”The role”): Google is looking for a talented artist with great free-hand illustration skills and the ability to create clean web-ready designs. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to create graphics independently, as well as take direction in a team-based environment. This position requires a utility player with strong artistic ability, web design expertise, organizational skills, and great attention to detail. Online portfolio required.
Responsibilities:
1. Create web images and digital illustrations
2. Create graphical User Interface elements
3. Manipulate pixel-level details to create elegant icons
4. Optimize web images for download efficiency
5. Respond to a variety of web and graphics related requests across departments
Requirements:
1. BFA preferred (MFA a plus)
2. Freehand illustration skills
3. Solid background and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
4. Strong knowledge of color theory and experience with graphics tablet
5. Ability to work collaboratively
6. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
